I can’t be the only person daydreaming about taking a little vacation after 2 months of self-isolation.
I’ve spent several idle hours looking at VRBOs on-line trying to find a nice spot out of the heat to spend a few days with the family.
I type the criteria into the search bar and wait in anticipation of all the dreamy vacation homes that will light up my feed and validate my decision that “this is a GREAT idea, this is going to be WORTH the money I am going to spend!”.
Almost inevitably I am let down. My feed isn’t full of images of light, bright, welcoming homes – instead I see a list of poorly exposed, low quality, dingy looking, UGLY looking homes. Photos of homes that MIGHT possibly be very nice places to stay but the IMPRESSION left by the images flattens my desire to leave my very comfortable home and spend money to GO THERE.
Anyone who doesn’t fully understand the value of Brand Photography can certainly understand it in this context. Your images speak FOR you before you ever meet your potential client. Poorly thought-out or badly executed imagery literally dulls a prospective customer's appetite to spend money even when they are looking for EXACTLY what you have to sell! The images you use on your website, social media and marketing may actually deter a customer from giving you a chance as they scroll right by your business to one with a more eye-catching image. One that invokes interest. One that expresses quality. One that tells the message of a thoughtful brand.
Don’t let your business be the “ugly house” when a potential client googles the service you provide. Make sure your brand images stand out and scream QUALITY. Make it easy for people to choose YOU over your competitor. Take a look at your current images and see if they couldn't use a little "spring cleaning". If you need help creating more visual content - I can help!
