There’s something extra special about photographing the same family year after year—watching their story unfold, the children grow, the dynamics shift, and feeling the familiarity that turns a photo session into a catch-up with old friends. This mother–daughter Christmas session with Caroline and Ivy was exactly that kind of gift.
This year, they brought along their two precious cats, Easter and Bunny, who absolutely stole the show. With their sweet, curious personalities, and adorable outfits, they added so much fun to the session. Including beloved pets always brings a layer of authenticity, and these two were clearly cherished members of the family. The way Caroline and Ivy interacted with them was full of warmth and laughter—those little moments that make photographs feel alive.

I’ve been photographing Caroline and Ivy for years now, and every session feels like catching up with old friends. Somehow, each year they both grow even more lovely, inside and out. Ivy is growing into such a mature young lady, carrying herself with confidence and grace while still letting her joyful spirit shine through. It’s been such a privilege to witness her growth through my lens over time.

Caroline, as always, made the session effortless and fun-filled. She has a way of bringing ease and positivity into every shoot, which makes everything flow so naturally. That relaxed energy carries through the images, creating photographs that feel genuine, joyful, and full of connection.

Spending this time with them during the holidays was truly a blessing. Christmas sessions aren’t just about beautiful images—they’re about slowing down, celebrating togetherness, and preserving this season of life. I’m so grateful to have been part of that once again with Caroline, Ivy, Easter, and Bunny. These are the moments that remind me why I love what I do.
